The history of bath salts

May 10, 2022

Bath salts have a long history. According to records, it was the sailors in Europe who first discovered that "salt" has a special skin care effect. They drifted at sea all the year round, causing their skin to dry, crack and age. They used deep sea water to clean and bathe, only to find that the cracked skin began to smooth and the aging stratum corneum began to slough off. Inspired by this, the Greeks refined salt from the deep sea into bath salts for skin care.

Centuries ago, the nobles of the European court also used the large amount of minerals contained in natural sea salt to soften the old and thick horny skin on the skin, so as to achieve the effect of beauty and beauty.

Today, different types of bath salts with the addition of natural hot spring minerals or aromatherapy oils have become popular all over the world.
